The holiday apartments in the Chianti, "Il Rifugio", is situated within the fortified village of Vertine , a charming medieval hamlet which has preserved its character of fortress. The beautifully finished flagstones which have been used for the walls as well as for the stronghold are also found inside the dwellings, making the visitor who strolls the narrow alleys want to return to experience again this immediate contact with history.
The holiday house in Chianti "Il Rifugio" consists of flats and double rooms, recently renovated in the traditional Tuscan style and tastefully decorated with great care by the owners themselves, who also take a personal interest in the management.

All flats have an independent entrance, a garden with table and chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom with shower, a sattelite TV, washing machine and central heating. The double rooms both  have ensuite bathrooms with shower or jacuzzi, frigo bar, sattelite TV, central heating, garden or balcony. Guests have at their disposal a large open-air swimming pool surrounded by olive trees, a carpark, a barbecue area as well as extra baby or toddler beds. "Il Rifugio" is and ideal starting point for spectacular walks or mountain bike rides, in contact with nature and the beautiful Tuscan scenery .
